Know Your Rights 3rd News letter presents how how project results promote competences on labor law to migrant population. Labor law and social protection is already an issue for native populations and is thus more challenging if somebody is coming from abroad and not familiar with the national system and requirements. To support migrants in this challenging situation and to improve their social inclusion, the partners from Iceland, Spain, Lithuania, Austria and Cyprus developed mentoring training opportunities, as well as informative materials like hand outs and videos. All 5 partners produced materials containing the main information on their national system in different languages for different migrant populations. The materials include handouts and videos, cover the areas below and are downloadable for free from our website:
- Working conditions and security
- Trade unions and other support organisations
- Minimum wages, taxes and payroll expenses
- Health care an insurance
- Employment contracts
